As we say hello to Autumn, we say goodbye to the Musical Swings and the Dougherty “Footprint in Green” twig sculpture. On Sunday, September 23, Reverend Diane Martin of Church in the Wildwood said a blessing over the sculpture and Vickie McKnight of Joyland Church prayed a blessing of release over the Musical Swings. Green Box Arts Festival and the Chamber provided cookies and apple cider. We look forward to see what art is in the future for Green Mountain Falls.
The month of October brings our 5th Annual Trunk or Treat! Wednesday night (Halloween) at 5:30-7:00 p.m. at the Joyland parking lot. Be sure to dress up, do a car trunk or just bring the kids for a safe and fun family night.
As we enter into the Holiday Season, your Chamber needs some volunteer help for the Community Tree Lighting. Could you help us? We need people to decorate trees in November, help with some cookie baking, set-up and tear-down at the Sallie Bush Building and to help “herd” people down the Tree Lighting route. If you would like to volunteer email to: discoverutepass@gmail.com and let us know what you’d like to help with!
The Community Tree Lighting will be on Saturday November 24th at 6:00 p.m. starting at the Sallie Bush Building. We will have cookies, how chocolate, cider and musical entertainment. We will begin the tour of the lights at 6:30 p.m. and meet with Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Gazebo in the park.
We would love to see our Chamber businesses and our Chamber residential members to join in by decorating your homes and businesses to add to the festivity of the Holiday Season.
